This policy explains what personal data @ailikegpt (ailikegpt.com) collects, why, and what rights you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Who we are
The data controller is Antonio C. Villalobos, based in Spain, who runs @ailikegpt. For any privacy question or request, write to hello@ailikegpt.com.
What we collect and why
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address (and first name, if you give it) through our email provider, Kit. We use it only to send you the newsletter. Subscribing uses double opt-in: you must confirm by email. Legal basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
- Site search. When you search the site, we store the search terms (not your IP address) to see what readers look for and improve the content. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the site.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as IP address, browser type and requested page, for security and to keep the site running. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Emails you send us. If you write to hello@ailikegpt.com, we use your message and address only to reply.
There are no user accounts, no comments, no advertising and no analytics tracking on this site. We do not sell your data.
Cookies
This site does not set tracking, advertising or analytics cookies, so there is no cookie banner. Only strictly necessary technical cookies may be used (for example, if you are logged in as the site administrator). If we add analytics or any service that uses cookies in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
Service providers and transfers
We share data only with providers that help us run the site: Hostinger (web hosting) and Kit (newsletter delivery). Kit is based in the United States, so your email address may be transferred outside the European Economic Area and the UK; such transfers rely on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. The signup form on the Subscribe page is loaded from Kit’s servers, so Kit receives your IP address and the email you enter when you load or submit it. We do not share your data with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
How long we keep data
- Newsletter email address: until you unsubscribe.
- Search terms: up to 90 days.
- Server logs: kept by our host for a short period, usually no more than 30 days.
- Emails you send us: as long as needed to answer you, then deleted.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR (and, where they apply, California privacy laws), you can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to hello@ailikegpt.com and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the AEPD, or to your local authority.
Children and changes
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
